Central Counseling Services has always done our best to be accessible to any client who reaches out. We provide high-quality therapy while training new clinicians to become skilled practitioners in their specialties.

Insurance Has Changed

Mental health coverage is no longer simple. Each insurance company offers many different plans, often with carve-outs to third-party payers. Coverage, co-pays, and deductibles vary widely — and sometimes policies change without notice.

What This Means for You

  • We verify your mental health coverage before your first session (this may take several days).

  • Sometimes you may have a deductible or co-pay that applies.

  • If your insurance later denies coverage, you will be responsible for the cost of your session.

    If Your Insurance Doesn’t Cover Us

    You can pay directly and request a Superbill. A Superbill is a specialized invoice that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement or to count toward your deductible. Please check with your insurance company about reimbursement rates.

    What Insurance Doesn’t Cover

    Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis. Some services are not covered, including:

    • Personal growth counseling (relationships, parenting, co-parenting)

    • Couples therapy

    • School-required therapy

    Some clients prefer not to use insurance in order to keep their records fully private.

    Scheduling & First Appointment

    • Intake paperwork is completed online through our secure client portal.

    • A credit card is required to hold your appointment.

    • Your card is not charged unless there is a no-show or late cancellation.

    If You Don’t Have Insurance

    We offer therapy at reduced fees through our Sliding Fee Discount Program.
