Lynn Flewelling, MA, MFT Registered Intern
I joined Central Counseling Services in 2015, after graduating from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a MA in Counseling Psychology with Emphasis in Depth Psychology. My philosophy is best illustrated by Pema Chödrön’s statement: “Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know.” By addressing the past directly, a person can live fully in the present and move forward with freedom, hope, and confidence. I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, including members of the LGBQIA and Trans communities. In addition to talk therapy, my methods include mindfulness, art and play therapies, sand tray, family systems, journaling, and dream work. I am also a published author and enjoy working with clients around the special challenges of the creative life, and teaching workshops. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and the California Association of Play Therapists (CAPT).
