“As we become aware of ourselves as storytellers we realize we can use our stories to heal and make ourselves whole.” – Susan Wittig Albert
Your life is a story, and I am an avid reader. I am a therapist because I wanted to help others while hearing each and every person’s story. I will walk along beside you on your path, building up your strengths and helping you advocate for your needs. Everyone’s story is different, but like a chapter in a book, we can turn the page and start anew. I believe every person has the power within them to make the change they need in life. Sometimes, we need a different perspective to be able to see what needs to change, or find out what’s working for us.
As a Marriage and Family therapist, I have spent the last 5 years working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families with severe and persistent mental illnesses. My specialties include working with survivors of trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, parenting and crisis intervention. I have worked for both Riverside County and San Bernardino County behavioral health, in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, department of social services, welfare division, foster families, and community based services. I have helped numerous people work through their struggles and re-write their story, with compassion and caring treatment. You are the author of your story, your life, and I will work hard to help you in writing the best life. My approach incorporates a collaborative effort, helping the characters in your story; family, friends, partners, etc, support you in meeting your goals. No challenge is too great, no story is too heavy, so please call and set up an appointment with me to help you in finding your “happily ever after.”
